Hi, I’m Rich
Fixer, Maker and Youtuber based in Devon.

Close-up portrait of a middle-aged man with short gray hair, blue eyes, wearing a green zip-up jacket, standing in front of a gray brick wall.

I’ve been making and repairing things for as long as I can remember. Over the years I’ve tackled endless home improvements, built furniture for friends and paying clients, converted an underground water tank into a workshop, and put the roof on our family garage.

The project I’m most proud of is the garden office I built from scratch — a full timber-frame build completed for under £6,000, so my wife and I could both work from home. That one turned into a seven-part video series, which tells you something about how much I enjoy documenting a build.

These days I share practical DIY tutorials and repair guides on YouTube through my Fix Make channel — everything from fixing a dripping tap in ten minutes to woodworking projects you can build in a weekend. The goal is always the same: clear, honest guidance that gives you the confidence to have a go yourself, whatever your experience level.

Away from the camera I volunteer at our local Repair Cafe in Kingsbridge and do handyman work across the South Hams — because there’s nothing better than helping someone fix something they thought was beyond them.

If one of my videos has helped you avoid an expensive tradesman’s bill, or helped you build something you’re proud of, that genuinely means the world to me.

If you’d like to support my work, you can buy me a coffee ☕ - It’s always appreciated!
